May 29th, 30th and 31st Recital Technical Rehearsal at the MAC 4pm to 9pm each day. There are no regular dance classes on these rehearsal days.
June 1st Recital Dress Rehearsalat the MAC - 4pm to 9pm.
June 2nd Dance Etc. Spring Recital 11am and 6pm at the MAC. |
Dance Etc. offers classes in Mommy and Me, Pre-Ballet, Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Lyrical, Technique, Hip Hop and Jazz for ages one and up. Mrs. Shepherd and all of her assistant teachers are experienced and always approach all students in a professional yet loving and friendly manner. They feel very blessed to be able to share their love and appreciation for dance with their students. To learn more about instructors click on the "Staff" page. Dance Etc. students’ performance opportunities include Jenny Wiley Pioneer Festival, the Christmas Holiday favorite, "The Nutcracker" and its Annual Spring Recital which has a different theme each year. Both of Dance Etc's Spring Recital performances and their six performances of "The Nutcracker" are at the Mountain Arts Center in Prestonsburg, a state of the art facility which seats over 1,000 spectators. Dance Etc. is also the home to the Dance Etc. Elite All-Star Dance Teams. These groups are made up of dancers chosen by invitation out of their weekly dance classes to travel and compete with the award winning teams. The present teams include over 100 dancers from seven counties and over 20 different schools. To learn more about these groups and their accomplishments click on the "Elite" page.
